Cinderella
by Kevin M Reese]
Detailed Plot:
After The Fairy Godmother introduces us to the story
(ONCE UPON A TIME), we meet Cinderella, her two
sillier-than-ugly stepsisters, Tibia and Fibula, and her
stepmother. They are constantly teasing Cinderella and
making her do all the chores. The Fairy Godmother
returns and tells us that she is looking for someone to
help. The audience tells her about Cinderella.
Meanwhile, the Prince is going door to door distributing
invitations to the Royal Ball (I NEED TO FIND SOMEONE
SPECIAL). As her stepsisters and stepmother prepare for
the ball, Cinderella laments not being able to go (I
NEED TO BE SOMEONE SPECIAL). After the trio leaves for
the party (STEPPIN’ OUT), Cinderella is paid a visit by
her Fairy Godmother (CINDERELLA CHANT) who convinces her
that she can indeed go to the Ball. After she’s all
dressed and ready to go in her enchanted carriage, the
Fairy Godmother warns her to be home before midnight.
Meanwhile at the Ball, the Stepsisters and Stepmother
are annoying the Queen and her son, the Prince. He is
more than ready for Cinderella’s entrance. The Prince
and Cinderella cant’ take their eyes off each other and
enjoy a wonderful time together (BALLROOM DANCING).
Suddenly, the clock strikes twelve and Cinderella rushes
off leaving her slipper behind. The Prince again goes
door to door looking for his new-found love. He visits
Cinderella’s home and, after trying the shoe on the
Stepsisters and Stepmother, discovers Cinderella’s foot
fits the slipper perfectly (SOMEONE SPECIAL). The Fairy
Godmother returns, announcing that she is off to help
another find a “happily-ever-after” ending. (ONCE UPON A
