Detailed Plot:
It’s her birthday, but little Emily Bear has lost her tickle (I LOST IT). Evidently, her brother, Albie has been up to his old tricks and told her that if she doesn’t find it by bedtime, it will be gone forever and she’ll turn into a (shudder!) grown-up! Next, we meet her Mom, who is a chocoholic, and her accident-prone Dad, who is angry that somebody keeps rummaging through is sock drawer (YOU TELL ‘EM, POP). Emily soon realizes that if she became a grown-up, she would be able to boss her brother around. Albie discovers this and plans to get her in trouble first. He suggests that she look for her tickle in their Dad’s sock drawer (hoping she’ll get caught). As Emily heads off for the bedroom, Albie learns a lesson about manners from his Mom (DON’T GIVE ME GIMME!). While Mom and Dad go back to decorating for the party, Albie enlists the help of the kids in the audience to help Emily find her tickle. When Emily forgets to thank the kids for their help, Albie teaches her a lesson about manners (PLEASE SAY PLEASE). Mom and Dad finally realize that something is up, so they ask Emily and she tells them about losing her tickle. Together, the family helps her realize that “a persons tickle is directly affected by their cuddle.” After a huge family hug, Emily’s tickle returns– as does Mom’s and Dad’s! They all head off for a game of Tickle Tag (ONCE UPON A TIME).

Short Description:
What's a bear to do when she loses her tickle? She looks high and low until she finds it, of course. But don't worry there will be plenty of "giggles and snuggles and tickles and hugs" for everyone when the Cuddle Bears come to visit. What better way to spend an evening than cuddling up with your favorite bear? Well, maybe cuddling with Mom and Dad!

CUDDLE BEARS was first presented by the Wichita Children's Theatre for the Once Upon a Time series. It opened February 12, 1998, and played eight performances. It was directed by John (JB) Boldenow. The cast was:
